Review: A Gift From Marclaire

I think one of the reasons why I love shopping online other than the fact that I don't have to put on nice clothes and leave my house to buy stuff, is the excitement when opening a parcel!

Seriously, am I the only one who absolutely loves opening mails?

Whether it's parcels or small envelopes, I get really hyped while opening.

Especially when they are DHL or FedEx envelopes because of the strip I have to tear to open it up.

If you've opened one, you would know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, I think that the reason why I get so excited over snail mail is because everything is now electronic.

Almost everything is now sent through email and in my entire life, I swear I've received less than 20 mails that are sent through snail mail (excluding stuff that I've bought online).

When I was temp-ing at Enerfo, we had a lot of documents and samples to mail out to clients, and they were done through DHL.

I had to fill in carbonised paper, which I swear is one of my favourite things to do. It's damn fun loh?! But now it's done through solely the Internet.

It's kinda sad that everything is so impersonal and digital. I've always liked things better in their physical state than virtual.

I mean it's convenient and eco friendly and all, bad still. In another decade, everything will be done through the Internet. My future kids wouldn't even get to lick stamps.

I digressed. Anywaaaaaay… I received an email from Marclaire a few days ago saying that I was one of the 3 who won the Like & Share contest they conducted.

So I replied with my details and I just received the item! And as explained before, I was obviously psyched when I received the envelope.

Actually I was surprised because I totally forgot about it and was wondering what I had bought until I flipped the envelope and saw the sender.

And so anyway, when they had posted out the item, they asked if I could share a post on it after receiving.

A post would mean a picture lah. Like you know a status update on FB, tweet or a photo shoutout on Instagram. But since I've been trying to re-establish my presence in the social media, namely blogger, I might as well do a post on it right?

I'm having school holidays and jobless, so why not? Kill time for me.

So here it is!

When I got home, I looked up at the prizes for the contest and was touching and trying to guess what I received, I was hoping that I won the watch. But the envelope was soft so I knew I didn't get it.

Was quite disappointed because I really liked the watch.

But this Colour Tassel Unicorn Bracelet looked quite pretty in the photos too, so it wasn't that bad.

Plus if you're close to me, or if we always go/hang out/shop together, you would know that I really like accessories, especially bangles or bracelets.

So, I was quite excited to get a bracelet!

Anyway, I thought that the blue tassel was actually a blue plastic dress. 

Hahahahaha whaaat… But really look like leh!

It looks quite nice!

But when I tried it on, like quite weird leh.

Is it? Or is it just me because I don't really like something hanging from my wrist?

I only have one other bracelet which has stuff hanging from it but it's a charm bracelet.

So it's okay lah. Plus the tassel is quite huge, so it's extra weird.

I think I may cut it off.. But I like the colour!

I don't know, I'm quite torn.

Okay, I shall decide again another time.

Maybe show it to Z and see what he says!

Anyway, they have pretty nice accessories, though quite limited.

I think it's because they just started out, like only a month old?

But the stuff are a tad expensive..

This bracelet that I won is $20.

I'm a little budget barbie kind, so I probably wouldn't get this.
