It doesn't matter if the person is different, like their sexual orientation, or if the person is different, like people who suffer from Down syndrome.
I was sitting beside a mother and her daughter who belonged to the latter just 5 minutes earlier.
The moment they entered the train cabin, everyone stared. Literally everyone.
I saw the entire row of people staring at the duo as they made their way to the empty seats beside me.
I personally felt victimized.
So I told Z, 'Why is everyone staring? It's rude.'
When will we really exist in a place where different is simply another word. Where respect and sensitivity is given.
I know it's none of my business. But isn't this how things never change? Because of the Bystander effect and none of my business attitude?
