BUTTER(or margarine) + HONEY + JAM

yes! i just had to torture you guys with yummy pictures of pancakes!
and yes, i made them! FROM SCRATCH!
hahaha. i think the best part about pancakes is the process of making it! hehe.
very fun! i love the smell of milk & egg!

The pancake was really thick and came out well.
Very fluffy but yet doesnt have the flour-y taste.
okay in comparison with Macs', i think this recipe is nicer :/
what i dont like about Macs' is that after awhile, you get sick of your pancakes.
and it's too filling. i think the problem was probably with the flour-y taste and the thick batter.
breakfast is supposed to be light and fills your stomach just right.
but that's not exactly how i got from the Macs' hotcakes. :/
haha yupp!

and i shall be nice and share the recipe with you guys okay? :))
it's REALLY REALLY simple!(that's why i will use it in the first place. LOL.)
here it is:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat a lightly oiled griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Make a well in the center. In a separate bowl, beat together egg, milk and oil. Pour milk mixture into flour mixture. Beat until smooth.
  3. Pour or scoop the batter onto the hot griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

i had a hard time finding this recipe okay!
so i think i deserve a little credit too! that's why i copied & pasted the recipe here.
hehehe. but i also provided the link! just click the title which is "Pancakes I"
and you're very much welcome! :))
i prefer original pancakes so i didnt add chocolate chips.
okay lah. half the reason why i didnt was because i forgot until i poured the last bit of the batter into the pan. LOL.
oh and one of the modifications i made was to add Vanilla Essence.
again, because i like sweet stuff. hehe.
and it really enhanced the taste. it made it more fragrant and a little sweeter. but, just a little! :)
yupyup! shall go leave a comment at the recipe now! hehehe.
and post my pictures there! :)
oh and the best part to this batter, you can make extra, keep it in a container and store it in the fridge.
and whenever you're craving for pancakes, you just have to take out the batter and fry yourself some! :))
